Jaguar specialist car dealer JD Classics has beaten off competition from a leading art gallery to open a 10-car showroom opposite the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair.
The Essex-based business aims to have a convenient hub for international clients who are looking to find the right car. However, the headquarters of the company, which sources and maintains classic vehicles for ,private and trade customers all over the world will remain in Maldon where 60 craftsmen, technicians and engineers are based.
CEO Anthony Wenyon says that much thought went into the location and choice of cars on display. He adds that the aim is to make the new showroom cosy and inviting for existing customers, and also to attract passers-by who are more familiar with the art world and Mayfair lifestyle.
