Focus on: The Joanna Wood Interior Design Shop, Elizabeth Street

Belgravia casts a curious spell over local residents and visitors alike. The beauty of its architecture and serene, almost ‘village-like’ quality contributes to its reputation as being a pleasing place to spend a little leisure time.

Joanna Wood Interior Design Shop, Elizabeth Street

Your leisure time might be spent visiting one of the many independent design shops on the Pimlico Road, drinking tea in the afternoon at one of the nearby luxury hotels, or ambling past the high-fashion boutiques and eateries on Motcomb Street. But Elizabeth Street forms part of the heart of Belgravia – and it’s home to our office.

Belgravia in general, and Elizabeth Street in particular, entertains a strong selection of interior design shops. Pimlico Road is renowned internationally for its high concentration of makers, and interior design shops, but for now, we’re going to focus on one particular store, recently opened, at 57 Elizabeth Street: Joanna Wood Ltd.

Joanna Wood has been a constant presence on the interior design stage since establishing Joanna Trading in Battersea in 1982. The company was a winner at the Design & Architecture Awards 2012, and has worked on a diverse range of projects, from the design restoration of country houses to city flats and major developments. Today, still based in London, Wood’s reach is truly global, with her work satisfying the wants and needs of clients from all over the world. Both commercial and private commissions are completed, and her reputation within the industry is certainly an enviable one.

Now, Wood has opened up a new shop on Elizabeth Street to complement the activities of her international interior design practice and her shop on the Pimlico Road. When interviewed by Luxury London, Wood was described as a ‘true Belgravian’. Indeed she is. Having lived in the area for many years, she now lives close to Elizabeth Street.

Wood’s love for Belgravia shines through with her new shop. Visitors to the shop on Elizabeth Street will find an impressive array of home accessories (cushions, throws, mirrors, vases etc), items for entertaining (candlesticks, tableware, glassware), gifts, and travel accessories, among other goods. As a relatively new addition to Elizabeth Street, we recommend you pay a visit to Wood’s store.

From Elizabeth Street’s rich retail offering we also recommend Mungo & Maud, a dog outfitters with a range of luxury products and accessories for your pet, and Papouelli, a renowned shoe and clothing brand aimed at children.

Belgravia living is never dull, and living in Belgravia is what we know about. Whether you’re looking for Belgravia property for sale or rent, or want to know more about the property in Belgravia, we can help.
