The residents of Belgravia have some of London’s most popular restaurants on their doorstep. Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay’s Pétrus on Kinnerton Street, for example, offers stylish modern European cuisine served with exquisite attention to detail and immaculate presentation.
No wonder this fine dining restaurant has held a Michelin star since 2011, not to mention five AA Rosettes.
Hunan on Pimlico Street, meanwhile, delivers diners able to reserve a table at the Chinese restaurant a rapid succession of tapas-size portions.
These two Belgravia venues, along with Ishbilia Lebanese Restaurant on William Street, have helped put London on the map as a centre for global cuisine.
For Belgravia residents who prefer to prepare their own quality ingredients, Pimlico Road Farmers’ Market is a regular destination.
Held every Saturday between 9am and 1pm in Orange Square, this is the place to pick up fresh fish and seafood, local honey, organic and biodynamic vegetables, free-range and organic meat and poultry, London-made bread and cakes, pies, flowers and plants.
Everything sold at this market is grown, raised or fished within 100 miles of the M25 and helps explain why a taste for fine cuisine is now recognised as an integral part of the central London lifestyle.
This vital ingredient of a Belgravia resident’s lifestyle is now being taken to a new level by the emergence of food and drink events that are taking place in all corners of the city this month.
Here, we recommend three food and drink events being held within easy reach of Belgravia later this month…
