London Craft Week is coming to the capital in May, with some events to be held in Mayfair and Belgravia.
An annual event, the third edition of London Craft Week will run this year from 3-7th May 2017.
Craft Week will showcase the ‘best international and British creativity and craftsmanship through a beyond luxury journey-of-discovery’. An extensive programme of over 200 events will be held in various locations across the capital, celebrating fashion, design and craft making, art, culture, food, and shopping.
Multiple London Craft Week events are taking place in Mayfair, including Mulberry: The Passion of Making, where attendees can visit the British luxury brand’s flagship store to witness how its iconic handbags are made, while the first solo exhibition of ceramicist Leah Jensen’s work at The New Craftsmen will be a treat for anyone interested in contemporary ceramics.
Other events are being held in Belgravia, especially around the Pimlico Road. Bentley’s, the esteemed brand which specialises in luxury vintage luggage, is presenting a ‘celebration of luggage-making skills, of craftsmanship and the beauty of leather’. Meanwhile, chocolate lovers can head over to Ebury Street to R Chocolate London, where guests can sample and make their own chocolate.
Whether your interests lie in fashion, art and antiques, design, culture, or craft making, the sheer variety of events on offer across the four days makes this a ‘journey-of-discovery’ not to be missed.
