London Art Week is an important moment in the Mayfair calendar, so we thought it necessary to pass on some of the highlights of this summer’s London Art Week which have just been revealed.
The twice-yearly event, which takes place at galleries across Mayfair and St James’s and runs this summer from 29th June to 6th July, is a celebration of pre-contemporary art.
The summer’s week-long event includes talks, exhibitions, open days and other special events, all held against the backdrop of London’s fine art district in Mayfair.
More than 40 art and antiques dealers are expected to attend the event, as well as art historians and art curators. Attendees will have the opportunity to peruse and buy a wide variety of art, from ceramics to paintings.
Now, some of the exhibitors for the event this summer have been announced. Forge & Lynch, a gallery in St. James’s which specialises in Islamic and Indian art, will be exhibiting, as will the Daniel Katz Gallery, which specialises in Old Master sculpture, while Galerie Lowet de Wotrenge, a Belgian-based gallery, will attend to showcase its exemplary range of Old Master paintings.
The likes of Sotheby’s and Christie’s will also be exhibiting, alongside many more. Renaissance pottery will also be on offer, exhibited and sold by Raccanello Leprince.
If fine art and antiquities is a passion or interest of yours, we suggest heading to London Art Week in Mayfair when it opens.
