Elvis returns thanks to AI-powered central London attraction  

A new show will use state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and holographs to bring Elvis Presley (virtually) back on stage this year, at an undisclosed central London location. 

‘Elvis Evolution’ is the latest show from Layered Reality, the British company behind the immersive productions War of the Worlds and The Gunpowder Plot.  

The project also follows the success of Abba Voyage. This phenomenon launched in 2022 and uses avatars to bring the Swedish megastars to a purpose-built London arena. 

Developed with the permission of the Presley estate, Elvis Evolution will use AI to create life-sized holographic projections of the singer, drawn from thousands of his personal photos and footage. After London, it will tour Las Vegas, Berlin and Tokyo. 

According to Layered Reality, the show will be a “jaw-dropping concert experience” featuring iconic moments in musical history on a UK stage for the first time”. 

The company’s CEO, Andrew McGuinness, called it “a next-generation tribute to the musical legend”, enabling contemporary viewers to “step into the world of Elvis and walk in his shoes”. 

McGuinness said the show would offer a “deeper insight into Elvis’s life, transporting fans back through the decades to experience his meteoric rise to fame, larger-than-life persona, and the cultural movement he catalysed in the 1950s and 1960s”. 

Alongside the spectacle, visitors can enjoy an Elvis-themed bar and restaurant with live music. 

Elvis, who would have been 89 this month, died in 1977. The show follows renewed interest in the star’s life following Baz Luhrmann’s Bafta-winning biopic and the recently released film Priscilla, which examines the relationship between Elvis and his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley
