Belgravia’s Christmas lights & pop-up market 2023

Christmas kicked off in Belgravia on Wednesday 15 November with the annual Christmas lights switch-on party. Look forward to a sparkling event with carols, a Christmas market and festive offers from local shops and restaurants, while Belgravia’s stunning buildings are illuminated in twinkling lights. You can see the lights on Elizabeth Street, Motcomb Street, Eccleston Yards, Halkin Arcade and Pimlico Road.

The London Gay Men’s Chorus will bring festive songs to the neighbourhood, performing around Belgravia during the event. Santa and two of his reindeer will also drop in – as will The Snowman, from the well-loved Sadler’s Wells ballet.

There’ll be a pop-up Christmas market from 2.30pm on Eccleston Yards with plenty of Christmas gift ideas and stocking fillers as well as delicious festive treats from stalls and restaurants. The event also sees the launch of Belgravia’s Christmas Trail of Cheer, where the area’s premier florists go all-out to create dazzling festive displays.

The first lights were illuminated on Pimlico Road, followed by Elizabeth Street and Motcomb Street. You can see the London Gay Men’s Chorus at each point and Santa and the Snowman will be at various locations from 5pm to 8pm.

To help the celebrations, local venues have a range of offers and discounts on the night, including 15% off and gift wrapping at Nina Campbell, a free hot chocolate at interiors store Bonadea and a complimentary glass of Champagne with lunch at The Lanesborough Grill.

Elizabeth Street is a five-minute walk from Sloane Square and Victoria stations, Motcomb Street is an eight-minute walk from Knightsbridge tube station, and Eccleston Yards is a five-minute walk from Victoria.
