Do you love good food? Here’s our mouth-watering guide to some of the best eating destinations in Belgravia for a festive Christmas lunch…
Yay it’s Christmas! And you know what this means? Yes, presents. Yes, fab Christmas films. But, most importantly it means food, glorious food (to quote Oliver Twist). And we sure like our nosh here at Best Gapp. Hence we decided to select our BEST places to have Christmas lunch in Belgravia…
Boisdale of Belgravia
If you fancy something a bit different, why not get yourself down to this lively Scottish restaurant in Belgravia. Throughout Christmas, the restaurant will be offering traditional Christmas lunch and dinner – with mulled wine, haggis, game in season and Christmas pudding. With great add-ons such as a cigar terrace, whisky bars etc, it’s a good deal for those looking for a tartan experience…
Gordon Ramsey’s Petrus
Good old Gordon Ramsey – he’s got a restaurant in every corner of London. His Belgravia restaurant, Petrus, offers a fantastic Christmas option. Apart from the obvious, the restaurant also offers plenty of festive surprises, with each dish from its Christmas menu using the best seasonal ingredients. Be sure to book though – it’s pretty popular!
Motcombs’
If you want to get all of the staples of Christmas lunch you can get it at Motcombs’! From turkey with all the trimmings for those who want to play it safe, you can also pick up something a bit different if you’re in the right frame of mind – such as salmon with pilaf rice and spinach – or you can even go for the fish…
La Poule au Pot
Why not pop into French restaurant La Poule au Pot? The Christmas menu has a heavy focus on haute cuisine – bream fillet served in a white wine and fennel sauce will get you salivating in anticipation. Or, you could try a delicious beef bourguignon from Burgandy region in France. The interior’s somewhat quaint with a ‘paysan’ feel, so you’ll feel like you’re enjoying the authentic French experience.
The Botanist
This list would not be complete without reference to The Botanist, in Sloane Square. A favourite for tourists and locals alike, this lovely venue specialises in exquisite British cuisine, under chandeliers, as well as bespoke cocktails with a classy wine and champagne list. So you can pick up Christmas lunch for £20 per person, with a very tradition menu that includes beef, turkey and of course a tradition Christmas pud!
