Halloween in Belgravia

From pumpkin trails to ghost walks and spooky autumn treats, there are plenty of Halloween events happening in Belgravia this year.

According to the neighbourhood’s website: “Belgravia is being transformed into a spooky enclave for Halloween with a slew of blood-curdling activities, from spine-chilling biscuit decorating to a fun-filled pumpkin trail.”

Nothing says Halloween like a big fat orange pumpkin, and Belgravia’s shops will be putting on their annual trail for families to enjoy. The trail runs throughout half term week from 23 to 31 October. Look out for show-stopping displays in shops, cafes and restaurants around the district including Bayley and Sage, Chestnut Bakery and the Goring Hotel.

Discover Belgravia’s dark side on one of the free Halloween walks on 28, 29 and 31 October. The tours take in the Grenadier pub – reputedly one of London’s most haunted establishments. You’ll also visit the last known haunt of a notorious murder suspect and the body-snatchers’ favourite spot – bloody bridge – as well as learning about Belgravia’s mysterious myths and legends.

Halloween isn’t just about the ghosts – sweet treats are a big part of the fun too, and there are plenty of options in and around Belgravia. Get creative with cookies at Biscuit icing café, Biscuiteers, which has decorating tutorials throughout October. Cake shop, Peggy Porschen is offering cupcakes of the season and the Tomtom Coffee House has a range of warming autumnal drinks available until mid-November.

If you’d like something stronger, there are Halloween-themed cocktails on offer at bars across the area including Boisdale, Morena and the Halkin. Plus, during the pumpkin trail, non-members can book a table at exclusive private club Mosimann’s.
